The Philadelphia Eagles were just four points shy of becoming Super Bowl champions in 2022, and with a retooled and refurbished roster, they have their sights set on righting those wrongs in the 2023 NFL season.
Below are the Philadelphia Eagles best bets, including futures odds for the Eagles and 2023 NFL player props.
Philadelphia Eagles best bets: Top picks for 2023 NFL futures bets
The Eagles exceeded nearly all expectations as their perfect roster balance and the progression of quarterback Jalen Hurts allowed them to become a dominant power in the NFC and push the dynastic Kansas City Chiefs to the brink in the Super Bowl.
Despite their historic season, the Eagles must first buck the 19-year trend of NFC East teams failing to win the division in consecutive seasons. The last team to do it was the Eagles, and they are the sportsbooks’ favorites to come out on top.
Philadelphia Eagles best bets: NFC East odds (-110 or better)
Despite only losing one regular-season game when Hurts started last year, the Eagles are relatively narrow favorites to win the division. That’s largely because the Dallas Cowboys have a star-studded roster and are expected to make the playoffs, and also because the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders showed they have promise.
The Eagles went 9-8 and 3-3 against the division in 2021 before exploding to a 14-3 record and 4-2 standing against the conference in 2022. They shook up their roster on both sides of the ball but are still wildly talented and have the pieces to find similar success.
2023 Philadelphia Eagles odds: Win the Super Bowl (+800 or better)
Philly is second to only the Chiefs in odds to win the world championship, which is usually how it goes for teams that were the runners-up the previous season.
The Eagles dished out a massive contract to Hurts and traded for running back D’Andre Swift to ensure their offense is as potent as it was when last seen on the field. They lost standout defensive tackle Javon Hargrave in free agency but took Georgia’s Jalen Carter with the ninth pick to replace him.
The Eagles also made a savvy pick of edge-rusher Nolan Smith and retained Darius Slay after it appeared as if they were going to lose him to the highest bidder. There is no other team in the league that is definitively better than the Eagles are.

2023 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds: Jalen Carter (+650 or better)
Carter is second to only Will Anderson Jr. in Defensive Rookie of the Year odds. He was talked about as being potentially the best player in the summer draft but slid down the board because of off-field encounters.
That aside, Carter put together some of the best film of any player in college and has an immediate opportunity to contribute with Hargrave gone. He will vie with Jordan Davis for the starting spot on the line but has an advantage since he is more of a three-down player.
Carter will also be in the national spotlight because of Philly’s expected team success, which gives him the platform to showcase his talent.
2023 Philadelphia Eagles futures bets, Jalen Carter prop
- Jalen Carter to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year (+650 or better)
- Eagles to win 2024 Super Bowl (+800 or better)
- Eagles to win NFC East (-110 or better)
