The Huskers defeated Oklahoma 2-0 Friday at Hibner Stadium in their final soccer exhibition before the regular season begins.
The Huskers opened up the match with a fast pace, putting pressure on the Sooners with three shots on goal within the first 20 minutes. Kayma Carpenter, entering the game in the 25th minute, added to it with two shots on goal of her own.
In the 38th minute, Audra Clark found Carpenter on a run across the box. Carpenter tucked a header just inside the near post to put the Huskers up 1-0.
The second half started similar to the first for the Huskers. Sarah Weber set the pace, with a shot on goal in the 49th and 55th minutes before finally sneaking one by the Oklahoma keeper in the 59th minute to put the Huskers up 2-0.
Cece Villa and Samantha Hauk combined on the shutout in goal for Nebraska, with each making one save.

The Huskers outshot the Sooners 20-8, including 10-2 in shots on goal.
Nebraska's season opener will take place at Creighton on Thursday.
