You guys have to keep in mind that while the airport pays up front to construct the building, the tenants pay back those costs in rent on top of what they would normally pay. Private owners of commercial real estate do the same thing. It's how the system works.

The donut store at 52nd and O was a Mister Donut. It opened in 1966 and closed sometime in the '80s.

The Bourbon was different. It was a "dinner house" theater showing old movies. This is the first time a first-run theater has sold alcohol in Lincoln, at least in modern history.

I did call both stores, but they are already closed. Couldn't find anything in our archives about when that location opened. The owner of the one downtown was never involved with that location and didn't know either.

They were given 45 days notice that their leases were being terminated and were out as of Dec. 31. Since that date had already passed, it no longer seemed pertinent to the story.

Skeeter Barnes is a small Nebraska chain based out of Kearney. With the Lincoln one closed I think they have two or three left.

I've been told that. No one is answering the phone at either location. Downtown one has a different owner. I'm planning to confirm it.

The growth is all due to commercial passenger traffic. Charter traffic is actually down 5 percent this year.

I had heard a rumor that it was going a Fresh Market, but that obviously turned out to be not true. There's just one grocery store as far as I know, to go along with Marshalls HomeGoods and Tanner's Bar & Grill.
